Yes, this interview was done a year ago... and since then so many "adverse events", as they say in medicine, have occurred.
I could do the same interview again at this point in time, but that would mean forgetting all the history that preceded what we had done to prepare for the ESSKA Milan 2020 congress.

Yes, this interview was done a year ago... and since then so many "adverse events", as they say in medicine, have occurred.

I could do the same interview again at this point in time, but that would mean forgetting all the history that preceded what we had done to prepare for the ESSKA Milan 2020 congress. It would be forgetting the new things we wanted to put in place, cancelling the launch of our new projects which have since seen the light of day as time goes on and they were ready. I am thinking of the core curriculum, Women in ESSKA, the new JEO and so many others... It would be minimizing the efforts of all the people who have invested in the Milan 2020 which promised to be very successful in terms of participation, of the success of the industry.

Since then, ESSKA has been working with the old board and the new board led by Jacques Menetrey, our new president, to resist, invent and build a new adventure for which we were not prepared. We have not seen each other face to face since February 2020, we have spent and continue to spend hours and hours in videoconference to keep ESSKA alive, to give our members what they expect from their Scientific Society.
